Working nights and weekends? Yes, but it’s still the most rewarding job in the industry.
We are at the forefront of emergency and critical care, making a real difference and saving the lives of pets each and every day. Working as an emergency vet surgeon will expose you to a unique range of cases that you simply won’t see in general practice. If you’re looking for routine operations and daytime hours, this isn’t the job for you.

We plan to open our Wrexham clinic in March 2018 and are looking to build a team of veterinary professionals to lead from the front in delivering emergency and critical care at a time when its needed most and ensuring clinical excellence is maintained at all times.
Strive to be the best in the business
We have cemented our commitment to continuous development by heavily investing in CPD, ECC certification and coaching to give our staff the springboard they need to take their career to the next level. Start the New Year by investing in your career development and join the market leader.
Learn from recognised experts in their field
Our supportive UK network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will be fully supported by our District staff and will never be alone at Vets Now.
Diverse and exciting caseload
We are looking for MRCVS registered veterinary surgeons to relish the diverse caseload that ECC naturally brings, especially during busy nights and weekends. The rota pattern involves working two out of three weekends, with shifts compiled of weekend days, weekend nights and weekday nights (average 12-15 shifts a month). As expected with the nature of the role and a new clinic opening, we are looking for exceptional candidates only.
