Veterinary Surgeon Job – Witham
Total package value up to £55,000 DOE
Working nights and weekends? Yes, but it’s still the most rewarding job in the industry
We are at the forefront of emergency and critical care, making a real difference and saving the lives of pets each and every day. Working as an emergency vet surgeon will expose you to a diverse range of cases that you simply won’t see in general practice. That’s why we need vets at the top of their game.
Continuous professional development
We take pride and integrity in the work that we do and that’s why we are committed to investing in the career progression of our people. From accredited ECC certification support to clinical research studies we will support you in taking control of your own career development. RCVS and VDS fees are covered form day one.
Delivering high clinical standards
The Witham veterinary team are motivated by driving clinical excellence and providing pet care at a time when it’s needed most. Being a vet surgeon will involve triage, emergency and lifesaving treatment. No two shifts will ever be the same and you will be fully tested on both your medical and surgical skills in this role (approximately private 2900 cases per annum).
Stand out from the crowd
Being a busy clinic, this job would be ideal for a vet who thrives in an adrenaline-fuelled emergency environment. You will be fully supported by an expert nursing team and coached by our district vet who will oversee your professional and career development. The shifts are 14 hours in duration and the rota pattern will feature a mixture of weekend days, weekend nights and weekday nights (2:3 weekends).
