Thrive with a diverse and exciting caseload? At Vets Now Reading you can

Working as an out-of-hours emergency vet is challenging. The caseload is unpredictable and the hours can be unsociable. Yet, Vets Now Reading have created a clinic-specific rota that combines the adrenaline rush of ECC with the flexibility of working only 12 shifts a month allowing plenty of time for you to follow your passions outside of work too.

Work two weekends a month only

Our unique rota pattern includes working one in two weekends and a fair share of weekday nights and bank holidays. You can have the best of both worlds working sole charge at times but being an integral part of a bigger team when busier.  Reading is modern, spacious, busy emergency clinic that thrives on a diverse private caseload – you certainly won’t be bored.

Lead from the front in clinical excellence

Vets Now have revolutionised the way emergency veterinary care is provided. Since 2001, we have grown to become the UK’s leading provider of emergency and critical care, thanks in part to the dedication and clinical excellence of our clinic teams. People are at the heart of what we do, that’s why we take a pioneering approach to people development. The Reading clinic has typically acted as a springboard for progression within the company and we have cemented our commitment to continuous development by heavily investing in CPD, ECC certification and coaching.

Out-of-hours doesn’t necessarily mean out-of-reach

Our supportive UK network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be alone at Vets Now.

If you are a MRCVS registered veterinary surgeon with a solid foundation in general veterinary practice, please contact Anne on 01383 841181 or email anne.longmire@vets-now.com
