Total package up to £56,000 DOE

Let’s be honest, working overnight, weekend and bank holidays as an emergency vet is challenging. We balance this in Aberdeen by having a diverse and varied caseload that will test your clinical and surgical skills.  It is an extremely exciting role at Aberdeen…you’re saving the lives of pets every single day.

Delivering high standards

The Aberdeen veterinary team are motivated by driving clinical excellence and providing pet care at a time when it is needed most.  Being a full time Vet Surgeon at Aberdeen will involve triage, emergency and lifesaving treatment.  No two shifts are ever the same.  If you’re looking for routine operations and daytime hours, this isn’t the job for you.

We don’t ask you to work nights and weekends without making it beneficial for you. Our CPD package is second to none. VDS and RCVS fees are covered from day one and we actively encourage you to pursue additional certificates and will support you in achieving this. Aberdeen is led by an ECC Advanced Practitioner who can nurture growth and progression in ECC for the successful Veterinary Surgeon.

The city is mixed with quaint old pubs alongside newer nightlife with a fantastic selection of restaurants and worldwide cuisine.  There is something for everyone in Aberdeen. With easy access to ski slopes in winter and breath-taking walking areas for summer. There is also a good choice of schools and a great variety of out-of-school clubs around the city.
