Veterinary Surgeon Job in Hull

We now have a full-time job opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our out-of-hour’s emergency and critical care team in Kingston-upon-Hull.  You must be an MRCVS registered (or eligible for RCVS) Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of two years’ clinical experience.  This role and clinic would ideally suit a recent graduate who is looking to develop their experience in emergency and critical care.

Vets Now is a multiple award winning, veterinary owned and led business with a strong focus on the delivery of high quality clinical and professional standards to our patients, clients and professional colleagues. As well as providing clinical care, our clinicians can become involved with our internal training programmes and our evidence based research group which will give them the opportunity to make a wider difference to the profession.

About our Hull clinic and it’s wonderful location:

  • The clinic is run by one of our most experienced Principal Nurse Managers along with a strong and dedicated District Team who offer excellent guidance, training and support.

  • The clinic has an average of 1-4 cases per night; with usually 1-3 host practice inpatients and weekend caseloads vary. Caseloads are typically more PDSA than Private.

  • Hull is based on the River Humber, the UK’s energy estuary and busiest port complex. Yacht-filled marinas, waterfront bars and restaurants with a shopping centre built on stilts. There is also 35 miles of stunning heritage coastline to explore.

  • Hull is easily reached from across the Yorkshire and Humber area. It possesses good road and rail links to all parts of the UK and enjoys some of the best international connections of any English city, thanks to its ferry terminals and regional airports.

  • In 2017 Hull will be the UK City of Culture!

Your job benefits will include:

  • continuous learning and career development (CPD)
  • generous CPD package
  • VDS cover provided
  • membership for both IVECCS and EVECCS
  • contributory pension scheme
