Make a difference and be the Vet Nurse you trained to be
It take a certain calibre of vet nurse to thrive in the challenging world of emergency and critical care. The unsocial hours aren’t for everyone and the unpredictable caseload can be difficult to navigate. However, it’s exciting and incredibly rewarding…you’re saving lives every single day.
Unique and exciting caseload
Harrow sees a mixture of PDSA and private cases. We are looking for a registered veterinary nurse to relish the diverse caseload that ECC naturally brings but also be adaptable during quieter spells. The rota pattern can be discussed at interview but will ideally feature working every other weekend. On average, a full time nurse will work 12-15 shifts per month with a mixture of weekday nights, weekend days and weekend nights.
Our supportive UK network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be alone at Vets Now.
We take pride and integrity in the work that we do and that’s why we are committed to investing in the career progression of our people. In return for your talent and commitment, we offer a generous CPD allowance, with various courses on offer including enrolment on the accredited Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care. For those more experienced candidates, support is available to gain the VTS (ECC). We will also cover VDS and RCVS fees.
