Theatre Nurse Job – Manchester

Salary up to £26,750 D.O.E

Experience a diverse caseload

Our pet emergency hospital in Whitefield, Manchester, provides a 24/7 emergency service for pets and their owners in the Greater Manchester region. Our purpose-built hospital has the equipment and technology that you’d expect from a first-class veterinary hospital.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of nurses working in a challenging and supportive environment where you will be involved in critical anaesthetics and advance surgical procedures. There is a collaborative approach to cases in which the nurse’s contribution is valued. This position requires a burse that loves specialising in this area and can provide a high level of surgical support and help develop our surgical services further.

As a theatre nurse during the week you will work with the 3 other surgical nurses and referral surgeons as a circulating nurse or as the primary anaesthetist nurse for any patients going to theatre. We accept soft tissue and orthopaedic referrals and you will be working with excellent discipline specialists and a dedicated and caring nursing team.

Your Career

You will work on a 3-week rotation of 07:00 - 16:00, 08:00 - 17:00 and 10:30 - 20:30. There is also a share of weekends 1:3. The weekend days are given back in lieu as a four-day week, the week before and after the weekend.

As a company and hospital, we are evidence-based driven to achieve gold standard management of conditions and patients and CPD is encouraged, supported and rewarded.
