Theatre Nurse Job – Manchester (Maternity Cover – 12 Month FTC)

We have an opening in our state of the art Manchester hospital for an experienced veterinary nurse to join us as a theatre nurse. You must be fully qualified and registered or eligible for RCVS registration to apply for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of nurses working in a challenging and supportive environment where you will be involved in critical anaesthetics and advance surgical procedures. There is a collaborative approach to cases in which the nurse’s contribution is valued. This position requires a burse that loves specialising in this area and can provide a high level of surgical support and help develop our surgical services further.
As a theatre nurse during the week you will work with the 3 other surgical nurses and referral surgeons as a circulating nurse or as the primary anaesthetist nurse for any patients going to theatre. We accept soft tissue and orthopaedic referrals and you will be working with excellent discipline specialists and a dedicated and caring nursing team.
You will work on a 3-week rotation of 07:00 - 16:00, 08:00 - 17:00 and 10:30 - 20:30. There is also a share of weekends 1:3. The weekend days are given back in lieu as a four-day week, the week before and after the weekend.
Initially this is a fixed term contract with the likelihood of a permanent contract at the end of the maternity cover.
