Senior Veterinary Surgeon Job – Reading
Total package value up to £70,000 DOE
Lead the next generation of veterinary professionals at Vets Now Reading
Our Senior Veterinary Surgeons are leaders. They nurture and support emerging talent and help shape the careers of future generations. Vets Now are committed to investing in the career progression of our people and we expect our senior vets to be ambitious in their own journey too. Whether you want to take on advanced learning with an ECC certification or participate in clinical research that will shape the veterinary profession, we will support you in your journey.
Working nights and weekends? Yes, but it’s still the most rewarding job in the industry
Let’s be honest, working as an out-of-hours emergency vet is challenging. With unsociable hours and a diverse range of cases, a career in emergency and critical care will fully test both your clinical and surgical skills. Yet with unpredictability comes opportunity. Working 12-15 shifts a month with Vets Now will expose you to cases that you simply won’t see in general practice. That’s why we need vets at the top of their game.
Delivering high standards of patient care
In Reading you will be fully supported by our nursing experts and non-clinical team. Over the weekends, our nurse and vet teams double up to ensure additional support is provided at a time when it’s needed most. The wider network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country.
Diverse and unique caseload
If you are a strong lead clinician that excels as an emergency vet surgeon and also takes real pride in mentoring and coaching others, we want to hear from you.
