Emergencies don’t work 9-5, so neither do we

Due to continued growth, we are opening our Peterborough clinic in summer 2018. To head up our clinical team, we are keen to speak to experienced Vets with a drive for clinical excellence and a passion for mentoring and developing a team. This is an incredibly rewarding role, you and your team will be there when pet’s and their owners’ need us most.

Continual professional development

People are at the heart of what we do, that’s why we take a pioneering approach to people development. We have cemented our commitment to continuous development by heavily investing in CPD, ECC certification and coaching to give our staff the springboard they need to take their career to the next level.

Together we save pets’ lives

In Peterborough, the new clinic will be fully complimented by our nursing and clinical support teams. The wider network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be alone at Vets Now.

Great place to work

Recognising hard work is really important to us. Our employees are our greatest asset which is why we offer a first class benefits and rewards package that could include 6.6 weeks annual leave, pension contributions, professional membership, free holiday accommodation in Arran, 50% discounted staff pet care, death in service of two times annual salary, membership of employee wellbeing programme, company sick pay scheme, company maternity, paternity and adoption pay scheme and your birthday as a day off. As well as providing a competitive package of rewards and benefits, we also take pride in celebrating our successes. This includes hosting an annual awards ceremony for those who have exceeded expectations. Clinical staff are also encouraged to attend our annual ECC Congress, the largest in the UK, which features an array of internationally accredited speakers, delegates and exhibitors.

Exceptional standards of client and pet care

Vets Now have revolutionised the way emergency veterinary care is provided. Since 2001, we have grown to become the UK’s leading provider of emergency and critical care, thanks in part to the dedication and clinical excellence of our clinic teams. Working as an out-of-hours emergency vet is challenging. The caseload is diverse and the hours can be unsociable. Yet with unpredictability comes opportunity.

If you are a strong clinician that excels as an emergency veterinary surgeon and also takes real pride in mentoring and coaching others, we want to hear from you. Please contact Anne on 01383 841181 or email anne.longmire@vets-now.com
