Senior Veterinary Surgeon Job – Ashford
Total salary package up to £65,000 DOE plus a relocation package up to £5,000.
Working nights and only one in two weekends? At Vets Now Ashford you can.
We plan to open our Ashford clinic in January 2018 and are looking to build a team of veterinary professionals to lead from the front in delivering emergency and critical care at a time when it is needed most and ensuring clinical excellence is maintained at all times. With working your share of weekday nights and only one in two weekends it has never been easier to join ECC Vets Now and keep a great work/life balance.
Are you ready to lead the next generation?
Our Senior Vet Surgeons are leaders and mentors. They nurture and support emerging talent and help shape the careers of future generations. Vets Now are committed to investing in the career progression of our people and we expect our senior vets to be ambitious in their own journey too. Whether you want to take on advanced learning with an ECC certification or participate in clinical research that will shape the veterinary profession, Vets Now will support you.
Out-of-hours doesn’t necessarily mean out-of-reach
Our supportive UK network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will be fully supported by our District staff and will never be alone at Vets Now.
Diverse and exciting caseload
Let’s be honest, working as an out-of-hours emergency vet is challenging. With unsociable hours and a diverse range of cases, a career in emergency and critical care will test your clinical and surgical skills. Yet with unpredictability comes opportunity. With a Senior Vet role at Vets Now you will be exposed to cases you simply wouldn’t experience in general practice.
Delivering high standards of emergency and clinical care
We are looking for MRCVS registered veterinary surgeons to relish the diverse caseload that ECC naturally brings, especially during busy nights and weekends. The rota pattern involves working one out of two weekends, with shifts compiled of weekend days, weekend nights and weekday nights (average 12-15 shifts a month). As expected with the nature of the role and a new clinic opening, we are looking for exceptional candidates only.
