Salary £18,000 - £25,000 DOE

Great Western Exotics has a long established avian residency programme. Residents work towards ECZM(avian) diploma. The standard programme is 3 years – but depending on prior experience a one-year internship phase may be required before commencing the residency.

Candidates will be considered from both a practice and internship background. Candidates would need to meet the residency entry requirements of the ECZM – either two years in varied general practice, or a one year rotating internship.

The residency programme will consist of clinical cases, externship, conference speaking, research, scientific publications and teaching.

Residents will take part in a 1 in 4 OOH rota – including weekends. Emergency and OOH work is an important part of the residency and a requirement of the ECZM.

Experience in clinical practice is essential.  If English is your second language you will need to provide evidence that meet the programmes English language entry level requirements.  

You must be, or eligible to be, a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. 

The start date is October/November 2017
