Full or part-time permanent hours available

Looking for a step back into an Emergency caseload? Feeling a little rusty on your ECC skills and confidence?  Let us offer you a Refresher Induction before you start a permanent full or part-time job!

Our Refresh Your Edge Induction Programme is an emergency and critical care programme, leading to a permanent full-time or part-time job at one of our 53 out-of-hours clinics throughout the country. The 12-week programme combines live and recorded webinars, e-learning modules, residential weekends and mentored work in our clinics.

You have the flexibility to study in your own time from the comfort of your own home, and upon completion of the programme, a full or part-time job will be waiting for you. Our rota patterns are ideal for those needing to juggle childcare or another job….working full-time will mean you will work no more than three nights per week with a share of weekend days and bank holidays (day shifts). Part-time can involve working anything from one to two nights per week again with a share of weekend and bank holidays.

Why would you consider this route to working for Vets Now? Perhaps you’ve had a break from employment and are now looking to get back into emergency work? Maybe you’re already in practice but not had the opportunity to have worked with a recent emergency caseload and are feeling a little rusty? This programme will allow you to enjoy all the rewards and excitement of working in ECC but will all the added support and flexibility you need before going sole charge.

So, if you’re a qualified vet with solid experience but would benefit from additional training prior to working sole charge in an emergency setting, then Refresh Your Edge is the programme for you! To be eligible, you’ll need at least 2 years’ full-time clinical experience, post qualification in the UK.

As well as receiving this excellent induction, working for Vets Now comes with other great benefits. You will receive a generous CPD allowance, fantastic work/life balance, Private Pension Scheme, Private Health Care plus many more benefits.
