Principal Veterinary Surgeon Job – Farnham
Total salary package up to £70,000 DOE
Working one in two weekends? Yes, but it’s still the most rewarding job in the industry
Weekends are part of life. Never has this statement been so apparent when considering out-of-hours emergency and critical care veterinary work. As a Principal Vet Surgeon with Vets Now, you are saving lives at a time that’s not during the usual hours of business. Unpredictably, however, brings great opportunity.
Lead the next generation
The Farnham veterinary team are motivated by driving clinical excellence and the caseload is so intense and only a vet that thrives in an adrenaline fuelled environment will sustain the challenge. No two shifts are ever the same and we need a polished professional that can not only take the unique caseload in their stride but also lead from the front in developing the careers of future generations and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care.
Stand out from the crowd
We have cemented our commitment to continuous development by heavily investing in CPD, ECC certification and coaching to give our staff the springboard they need to take their career to the next level. Whether you want to take on advanced learning with an ECC certification or participate in clinical research that will shape the veterinary profession, Vets Now will support you. RCVS and VDS fees are covered from day one.
We are all Vets Now
Our people work together to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. In Farnham, the highly experienced nursing team is led by our Principal Nurse Manager, Kath Howie, who is recognised and respected as an expert in her field. Over the weekends, our nurse and vet teams double up to ensure additional support is provided at a time when it’s needed most.
If you are a MRCVS registered veterinary surgeon with a solid foundation in general veterinary practice ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.
We have created a clinic-specific protected rota pattern that combines the adrenaline rush of ECC with the flexibility of working one in two weekends maximum. If you’re looking for routine operations and Monday to Friday daytime shifts, this isn’t the job for you.
