Principal Veterinary Surgeon Job in St Helens
Flexible package up to £55,000 pro rata
We have a job opportunity for a principal vet surgeon to join our out-of-hours team in St Helens on a fixed-term bass until November 2017.
As a senior veterinary surgeon, you must have a strong passion for coaching, developing and mentoring others and be motivated by driving clinical standards within our veterinary clinic. You’ll ensure the smooth operational running of the clinic, build strong relationships with local practices and customers, and monitor and evaluate all clinical KPIs.
You’ll join our dedicated veterinary team in providing an emergency and critical care (ECC) service for practices, pets and their owners in St Helens. The successful vet will be an experienced MRCVS registered (or eligible for RCVS) veterinary surgeon.

Our St Helens veterinary clinic is situated in a referral hospital and based within a quiet industrial estate. The clinic boasts a wide range of facilities and equipment including infusion pumps, x-ray, ultrasound and electrolyte and a blood gas machine. Being responsible for the overnight care of inpatients (6-23 on average), our close-knit team also deals with 1-4 emergency and critical care cases during an average evening.
