Part Time Veterinary Surgeon Job – Belfast
Total package up to £54,000 DOE pro rata
Make a difference and save lives with working Sundays and a bank holiday only
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to work alternate Sundays (1100-2100) and one bank holiday per year. This is a great way to learn from our experienced veterinary professionals whilst balancing a family, working another job or studying for an emergency and critical care certification for example.
Diverse and varied caseload
The Belfast clinic is fully equipped and sees a varied caseload of trauma, medical emergencies and first opinion. Due to the diverse nature of this role, it presents an ideal opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to break away from routine day practice knowing they have the support of another vet on shift (not sole charge). This provides reassurance when first facing an adrenaline-fuelled emergency environment
Great place to work
Recognising hard work is really important to us. Our employees are our greatest asset which is why we offer a first class benefits and rewards package that could include 6.6 weeks annual leave, pension contributions, professional membership, free holiday accommodation in Arran, 50% discounted staff pet care, death in service of two times annual salary, membership of employee wellbeing programme, company sick pay scheme, company maternity, paternity and adoption pay scheme and your birthday as a day off.
Continual professional development
As well as providing a competitive package of rewards and benefits, we also take pride in celebrating our successes. This includes hosting an annual awards ceremony for those who have exceeded expectations. Clinical staff are also encouraged to attend our annual ECC Congress, the largest in the UK, which features an array of internationally accredited speakers, delegates and exhibitors. People are at the heart of what we do, that’s why we take a pioneering approach to people development. We have cemented our commitment to continuous development by heavily investing in CPD, ECC certification and coaching to give our staff the springboard they need to take their career to the next level.
