Part Time Veterinary Surgeon Job – Hull

Total salary package up to £55,000 DOE pro rata

Join the leading provider of emergency and critical care without committing to a full time role

This vacancy presents an ideal opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to develop both their emergency medicine and surgery skills without committing to a full time role. Working part time offers a solution that overcomes the usual challenges of being an out-of-hours Vet Surgeon. Our part time vets can balance a career with caring for a family, working around another job or studying for an emergency and critical care certification. In Hull, we will build the predictable six week rolling rota around the ideal candidate and offer great flexibility.

Out-of-hours doesn’t necessarily mean out-of-reach

Our supportive UK network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be alone at Vets Now. Our vet team in Hull is complimented by a strong nursing team with a vast experience in ECC. Our Senior Vet Surgeon will mentor, support and offer guidance when dealing with surgeries. Ultimately, a Vet Surgeon in Hull will find challenging cases and situations far removed from day practice – an ideal opportunity for learning and career development.

Flexible rota pattern and shift frequency

Vets Now have revolutionised the way emergency veterinary care is provided. Since 2001, we have grown to become the UK’s leading provider of emergency and critical care, thanks in part to the dedication and clinical excellence of our clinic teams. People are at the heart of what we do, that’s why we take a pioneering approach to people development. We have cemented our commitment to continuous development by heavily investing in CPD, ECC certification and coaching to give our staff the springboard they need to take their career to the next level.

Diverse caseload

Hull is a busy and successful clinic. This role is ideal for someone who can’t commit to full time hours but is looking to step into an emergency career. If you are a MRCVS registered veterinary surgeon and want to find out more information about this role and discuss the hours available, please contact Anne on 01383 841181 or email anne.longmire@vets-now.com

At Vets Now we are passionate about training and the on-going development of our employees. If this vacancy is of interest and you feel you would benefit from a supported route in to our business then one of the options below may be perfect for you.

Cutting Edge: 10 week supported route into a full time role with Vets Now for those looking to start their career in ECC.

AdvantEdge: 2 week programme for experienced, talented Vets that will fast track them into a successful emergency role.

Refresh Your Edge: 12 week flexible, distance learning programme aimed at Vets who have maybe had a break in practice and are looking to ease their way into ECC.
