Part Time Veterinary Nurse Job – Gillingham (mat cover)

Total package up to £37,000 DOE pro rata

We are all Vets Now

Vets Now have a supportive network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals spanning the length of the UK.  Our people work together to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. On shift, you will be fully supported by our Principal Nurse Manager, expert Vet Surgeons and the non-clinical team.

Gillingham is a very busy and successful clinic, and the team manages both PDSA and private cases. We are looking for a part time registered veterinary nurse to relish the diverse caseload that ECC naturally brings on a maternity leave basis. Shift pattern is based on a four week pattern, working a mixture of weekday nights (1800-2400) and weekend dayshifts (1200-2400).

People are our core

Working part time offers a solution that overcomes the usual challenges of being an out-of-hours clinician. Our nurses can balance a career with a caring for a family, studying for an ECC certification or training for a marathon! We are a special breed at Vets Now and our people will always decide how our company develops and what path we take.

Make a difference and be the Vet Nurse you trained to be

It take a certain calibre of vet nurse to thrive in the challenging world of emergency and critical care. The unsocial hours aren’t for everyone and the unpredictable caseload can be difficult to navigate. However, it’s exciting and incredibly rewarding…you’re saving lives every single day.

Your Career

We take pride and integrity in the work that we do and that’s why we are committed to investing in the career progression of our people. In return for your talent and commitment, we offer a CPD allowance of £750 per annum which can be allocated to various courses including enrolment on the accredited Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care. We also hold annual recognition awards and will cover VDS and RCVS fees.
