Part Time Veterinary Surgeon Job - Doncaster

Package up to £52,500 Pro rata DOE

Working Nights and weekends? Yes but it's still the best job in the industry.

Working part time offers a solution that overcomes the usual challenges of being an out-of-hours clinician. Our vets can balance a career with caring for a family, studying for an ECC certification (just like on of our existing Doncaster team) or training for a marathon! We are a special breed at Vets Now and our people will always decide how our company develops and what path we take.

Out-of-hours doesn’t necessarily mean out-of-reach.

You will be based at our well equipped Doncaster clinic and be fully supported by our nursing experts and non-clinical team. The wider network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be alone at Vets Now.

What's in it for you?

Recognising hard work is really important to us. Our employees are our greatest asset which is why we offer a first class benefits and rewards package that includes:

  • 6.6 weeks annual leave
  • Pension contributions
  • Professional membership fee's
  • Free holiday accommodation in Arran
  • 50% discounted staff pet care plan
  • Death in service of twice your annual salary
  • Membership of employee wellbeing programme
  • Company sick pay scheme
  • Company maternity, paternity and adoption pay scheme
  • Your birthday as a day off!

As well as providing a competitive package of rewards and benefits, we also take pride in celebrating our successes. This includes hosting an annual awards ceremony for those who have exceeded expectations. Clinical staff are also encouraged to attend our annual ECC Congress, the largest in the UK, which features an array of internationally accredited speakers, delegates and exhibitors.

People are at the heart of what we do

That’s why we take a pioneering approach to people development. We have cemented our commitment to continuous development by heavily investing in CPD, ECC certification and coaching to give our staff the springboard they need to take their career to the next level.

If this vacancy or similar is of interest and you feel you would benefit from a supported route in to our business then one of the options below may be perfect for you.

AdvantEdge: 2 week programme for experienced, talented Vets that will fast track them into a successful emergency role.

Refresh Your Edge: 12 week flexible, distance learning programme aimed at Vets who have maybe had a break in practice and are looking to ease their way into ECC.
