Senior Vet Surgeon

Salary up to £60,000 DOE

Join us on our new venture for a work life less ordinary

Due to continued growth, we are opening our Dundee clinic in November 2018. To head up our veterinary team, we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a drive for clinical excellence and a passion for mentoring and developing others. In Dundee, the team will provide pet care at a time when it’s needed most, and coupled with making an impact on a new territory, you will lead from the front in shaping our reputation in the area.

Together we save pets’ lives

In Dundee, the new clinic will be fully complimented by our nursing and clinical support teams. The wider network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be on your own at Vets Now.

Great place to work

Recognising hard work is really important to us. Our employees are our greatest asset which is why we offer a first class benefits and rewards package that could include 6.6 weeks annual leave, comprehensive CPD allowance, pension contributions, professional membership, free holiday accommodation in Arran, 50% discounted staff pet care, death in service of two times annual salary, membership of employee wellbeing programme, company sick pay scheme, company maternity, paternity and adoption pay scheme and your birthday as a day off.

Celebrating success

As well as providing a competitive package of rewards and benefits, we also take pride in celebrating our successes. This includes hosting an annual awards ceremony for those who have exceeded expectations. Clinical staff are also encouraged to attend our annual ECC Congress, the largest in the UK, which features an array of internationally accredited speakers, delegates and exhibitors.

Exceptional standards of client and pet care

Vets Now have revolutionised the way emergency veterinary care is provided. Since 2001, we have grown to become the UK’s leading provider of emergency and critical care, thanks in part to the dedication and clinical excellence of our clinic teams. Working as an out of hours emergency vet is challenging. The caseload is diverse and the hours can be unsociable. Yet with unpredictability comes opportunity.

At Vets Now, we are passionate about training and the on-going development of our employees. If this vacancy is of interest and you feel you would benefit from a supported route in to our business, then the option below may be perfect for you.

AdvantEdge: Two week programme for experienced, talented Vets that will fast track them into a successful emergency role.

If you are a strong clinician that thrives in an ECC setting and takes great pride in mentoring and coaching others, we want to hear from you. Please contact Anne on 01383 841181 or email anne.longmire@vets-now.com
