No ECC experience? Don’t worry. We have the permanent vet surgeon job openings for you.

Apply here: we are recruiting now

Full-time, permanent, out-of-hours veterinary surgeon jobs available nationwide

  • Are you ready to embark on a successful career in emergency and critical care?

  • Do you want to build up your skills, confidence and experience before working sole charge?

  • Are you keen to join a business that will help you reach your goals and become the best at what you do?

If you’re a vet with the ambition to work in ECC but feel you don't yet have the experience or confidence to take sole charge, don’t despair.

As long as you have at least six months’ full-time clinical experience in a small animal veterinary practice, we will prepare you for a long and successful career in ECC by putting you through a 10-week residential induction which combines lectures and interactive seminars with practical training.

This is a permanent, paid position from the start.

The Cutting Edge induction, designed by ECC diplomate Amanda Boag, will build on the skills you have already gained in small animal practice, equipping you to work sole charge in one of our emergency care clinics.

Working for Vets Now comes with other great benefits, too. You'll receive a generous CPD allowance, access to a private pension scheme, private healthcare plus much more, including a fantastic work/life balance.

To apply please send your CV to or for an informal chat about this or other roles, call Yvonne on 01383 841181.
