Working nights and weekends? Yes, but it’s still the most rewarding job in the industry.
Let’s be honest, working as an out-of-hours Veterinary Surgeon is challenging. With unsociable hours and a diverse range of cases a career in emergency and critical care will test your clinical and surgical skills. Yet with unpredictability comes opportunity. With a Veterinary Surgeon role at Vets Now you will be exposed to cases you simply wouldn’t experience in general practice. Being a Vet Surgeon will involve triage, emergency and lifesaving treatment. If you’re looking for routine operations and daytime hours, this isn’t the job for you.
You’ll never be alone at Vets Now.
Vets Now have a supportive network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals spanning the length of the UK. Our people work together to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. In clinic, you will be fully supported by an expert nursing team and coached by the Senior Vet who will oversee your professional and career development. An average working week involves working 45 hours and the rota pattern will see you work your share of weekday nights and weekend days and nights.
Our Bournemouth clinic has recently been refurbished to become a state of the art clinic with all the toys you could possibly wish for. We are looking for an MRCVS registered veterinary surgeon to relish the diverse caseload of both private and PDSA cases that Bournemouth sees, especially during busy nights and weekends.
