Back Shift Veterinary Nurse Job – Manchester

Salary up to £28,000 D.O.E

Experience a diverse caseload

Our pet emergency hospital in Whitefield, Manchester, provides a 24/7 emergency service for pets and their owners in the Greater Manchester region. Our purpose-built hospital has the equipment and technology that you’d expect from a first-class veterinary hospital.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of nurses working in a challenging and supportive environment where you will be involved in critical anaesthetics and advance surgical procedures. There is a collaborative approach to cases in which the nurse’s contribution is valued. This position requires a burse that loves specialising in this area and can provide a high level of surgical support and help develop our surgical services further.

As a back-shift nurse, it crosses both the referral day work and the emergency night work which means that you could be involved in an anaesthetic for a referral case, managing hospitalised patients, assisting with a medicine work-up or dealing with incoming emergencies. During the evening, your duties will be focused on our emergency patients.

Your Career

You will work on a rotating 5 shifts on, 5 shifts off then 2 shifts on and 2 shifts off pattern, from 15:00 to 03:00. This includes Bank Holidays and Christmas/Boxing day and New Year’s Day depending on how the rota falls.

As a company and hospital, we are evidence-based driven to achieve gold standard management of conditions and patients and CPD is encouraged, supported and rewarded.
